Beguiled Theatre Company auditions typically consist of cold readings from the script. No monologue preparation is required unless otherwise noted. How to Have a Relaxed, Fun Audition
Auditions can be nerve-wracking, but they don’t have to be! At Beguiled Theatre Company, we aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where actors can feel comfortable bringing their best selves into the room. The key to a successful audition starts with preparation—but not perfection. Take a moment to breathe, read the scene carefully, and make bold choices. Remember, we’re not looking for a flawless performance—we’re looking for authenticity, energy, and a willingness to play.
Cold readings are a chance to show us how you think on your feet, so have fun with it! Come in ready to collaborate, and don’t be afraid to take direction or ask questions. Most importantly, bring your headshot, resume, and a positive, supportive attitude. Respect for your fellow actors and the audition process goes a long way.
